Singtel’s 5G will power the live broadcast of the Singapore MotoCross Beach Race

Singaporean telecommunications company Singtel will power Singapore MotoCross Beach Race’s first fully live outdoor event on its 5G network from Sentosa this weekend.

As part of the [email protected] program, Singtel has partnered with IMDA and SGMX to fully broadcast the event over 5G.

Singtel says the event will mark the first time in Singapore that 5G connectivity will be used to deliver ultra-HD views from runners’ body cameras as they travel at speeds of up to 150 km/h.

Two years after the pandemic, the Singapore Motocross Beach Race (SGMX) returns as motocross riders from around the world converge to compete in a fully enclosed beach circuit.

However, the event can only accommodate 1,000 attendees due to security management measures.

Thus, the event tasked Singtel with providing reliable 5G so that more people can experience the real-time action from anywhere in the world.
