Day stalkers spotted hiding in Parksville, Qualicum Beach – Parksville Qualicum Beach News

Oceanside RCMP received 221 complaints the week of February 21-27.

Some of the incidents included:

the 21st of February

• A day prowler was reported in the 200 block of Dunbar Way, Parksville.

February 22

• Forced entry of a storage container has been reported in the 1000 block of Herring Gull Way, Parksville. The locks were noted cut but nothing was reported as missing.

• A vehicle was vandalized in the 100 block of McCarter Street, Parksville. A window of the vehicle was found broken.

• A business was reportedly vandalized in the 1200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.

• A vehicle was vandalized when air leaked from the front tires in the 200 block of Seacroft Road, Qualicum Beach.

• A daytime prowler was reported in the 1000 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.

• A day prowler was reported in the 300 block of Hall Road in Qualicum Beach.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach.

• A Stihl Model MS170 chainsaw was stolen from the back of a vehicle in the 2300 block of Island Highway East, Nanoose Bay.

February 23

• A motorcycle was reportedly vandalized in the 2400 block of Island Highway East, Nanoose Bay. The speedometer and seat were noted damaged along with siphoned fuel.

• The exhaust system was reported stolen from a vehicle left on Highway 19 near the Whiskey Creek Bridge. Fuel was also reported as missing.

• BC license plate DV878G was stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Kasba Circle, Parksville.

• A Canada Post mailbox was forced open and mail was reported stolen on Meadowood Way, Qualicum Beach. Mail believed to have been stolen during this incident has since been recovered and investigators are continuing to investigate.

• A counterfeit US$1 bill, serial number L79626959H, was received by a local business.

• A black Monster brand backpack with its contents was found in the 100 block of Pym Street North, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

February 24

• BC license plate CB640C was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Barclay Crescent, Parksville. The validation sticker was picked up in North Cowichan.

February 25

• BC license plates CJ895P were reported stolen and replaced with two mismatched plates on a vehicle in the 500 block of Panorama Place, Parksville.

February 26

• A large metal four-wheeled industrial cart was found in the 800 block of Aberdeen Drive, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Coombs Road, Coombs.

February 27

• Three utility trailers reportedly had their locks cut in the 200 block of Corfield Street North, Parksville. Bolt cutters were seized in the area.
