0

Say goodbye to the beautiful beach season…

To earn your brunch custom, venues across the city are constantly looking for new ways to improve their weekend offerings. And as far as dining double acts go, brunch and dip is a pretty tough collaboration to whip up. It’s an expression of pure indulgence – gourmet grazing, lazing, swimming and soaking up the sun’s tanning rays, available all year round thanks to Abu Dhabi’s cloudless skies.

Totally agree? These are just a few of the best brunch and party deals in Abu Dhabi, offering pool and beach access…

Al Maya Island and Resort

Ok, so not technically a brunch, which we admit – is a rough start, but bear with us – we have our reason. The popular pool parties at Abu Dhabi’s Al Maya Island & Resort have made a triumphant return, and we’re thrilled – because there’s no rave, like a rave where you can swim. Going down every Saturday between 10am and 8.30pm, tickets are priced at Dhs 250, which includes Dhs 100 credit for food and drink and your boat transfers. Although women can enter for free before noon, also on Saturdays, there is a strict policy that all-day guests must be over 21 years old. Ferry service to Al Maya Island departs from a mooring space located near the presidential palace. The duration of the boat transfer is between 10 and 15 minutes (depending on the ship and the conditions. The cost of the trip is included in your day pass.

Cafe Del Mar

The UAE outpost of the rave enclave, Cafe Del Mar is only a few months old, but it seems to have built all of the following already. The lagoon pool, boutique beach and big Ibiza beats are a rare but very welcome combination for Abu Dhabi’s vibe-hunter scores and one of the most popular weekly fixtures is the BBQ night at the Saturday. This aquatic fiesta takes place between 1pm and 5pm every Saturday, the price of 499 Dhs includes a selection of unlimited drinks, unlimited plates from the barbecue, access to the swimming pool, towels and a deck chair.

Taking place between 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the fiesta includes food and drink, a beachside bonfire, and access to the expansive pool complex. We’re told the drinks will be Latin-inspired and the bites will take the shape of a ‘master menu‘.The food offering is built on a mix of wild opulence and more tried and tested brunch classics. Expect oysters and caviar to appear alongside fish and chips, wagyu burgers, sushi, shrimp tacos and a collection of live grilled dishes.

Naham

Sometimes not always, but sometimes the hype is right. And for us, Nahaam more than lives up to the fan-sung celebrations. It stands out for its style, the food offering is vast, it’s as strong inside as it is out, and the cart circuits add great finesse to that finishing touch. One of the best and one of our favorites.
