In November of 2011, St. Martin added a second ferry service to St. Barts to its daily line-up.
Babou One is a 25-meter long ferry built to minimize seasickness, and is equipped to transport up to 183 passengers at a time. There are two decks with both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors, travelers will find air conditioning, four televisions, a bar, and three restrooms.
Tickets for a trip between St. Martin and St. Barts aboard Babou One can be purchased at the ferry terminal in Bellvue for between 55 and 60 euros per passenger. The trip lasts approximately 70 minutes.
