Casinos in St. Martin

Warm up your dice throwing hand, because there are numerous opportunities for St. Martin/St. Maarten vacationers to visit casinos during their stay.  While there are only casinos located on the Dutch side of the island, the easily crossable border means that those staying on the French side need not be left out of the action.

Casinos in St. Maarten are European style, which means the atmosphere is sophisticated and quiet.  The casinos tend to cluster around the airport and Philipsburg, where they attract cruisers.  Most have bars and restaurants, and some even offer live entertainment, with spectacles ranging from a local band playing a set to a full on stage production.  Independent casinos (those not affiliated with a resort) often offer free round trip transportation from your hotel to the casino, making it easy to plan a night out.  Note that you must be 18 to gamble and drink in St. Maarten.

Atlantis World Casinos

Situated in Cupecoy, the Atlantis World Casino features over 400 slot machines, live gaming tables, and video poker machines.  Atlantis is known as the casino most similar to Vegas, complete with surreal wall murals.  The crowd here tends to be calm and mature.  The facility is open 24 hours a day, and there is a restaurant on site. 

Beach Plaza Casino

Beach Plaza is one of St. Maarten's smaller casinos, consisting only of slot machines and multi-game machines.  The casino is located in the shopping district of Philipsburg, and popular with cruise ship passengers who want easy access to a casino.

Casino Royale

The Casino Royale at the Sonesto Maho Beach Resort is part casino, part live theater, part night club.  The casino features over 400 slot machines, as well as 30 live gaming tables.  The nightly live performances in the Showroom Royale feature acrobatics, magicians, and comedians, depending upon when you visit.  Upstairs is the Q-Club, a popular dance spot. 

Coliseum Casino

Coliseum Casino offers the highest table limits in St. Maarten.  The building is three stories tall and houses 272 video slot machines, 11 live game tables, and several VIP rooms. 

Golden Casino

With just 85 slot machines and game tables, Golden Casino is one of St. Maarten's smaller gambling spots. 

Hollywood Casino

The Hollywood Casino pays homage to it's namesake city with a Marilyn Monroe mural, Oscar shaped door handles, stars everywhere, movie stills hanging throughout the building.  Gaming options include 150 slot machines, bingo, and live game tables.  There are also big screen televisions broadcasting the latest sports games.  Hollywood Casino is located in the Simpson Bay area.

Jump Up Casino

The Jump Up Casino is Carnival-themed; brightly decorated, and showcasing a display of past Carnaval costumes.  Jump Up games include slots and bingo.  There is a bar at which gamers may drink free, and live Carnaval music each weekend.  Jump Up is located in Philipsburg.

Princess Casino

Twenty game tables and 650 slot machines are what gamers will find at the Princess Casino in Cole Bay.  The casino offers live shows, private high roller rooms, and has three dining options.  Princess is he largest casino in St. Maarten, and known for attracting a more elegant crowd than many other casinos on the island.

Rouge et Noir

Decorated in red and black like a roulette wheel, games at the Rouge et Noir in Philipsburg include slot machines, bingo, and live game tables.  There is also a fully stocked bar.

Tropicana Casino

Featuring live entertainment and a nightly buffet, Tropicana Casino is filled with slot machines and gaming tables. 

Westin Casino

Located at the Westin Dawn Beach Resort, the Westin Casino is one of St. Maarten's more calm casinos.
